Ways to resist the Tobacco Industry

The tobacco and nicotine industry has a long-standing record of jeopardising the health and well-being of individuals, communities, and society, including Indigenous peoples, through questionable practices that persist today. These tactics involve generating opposition, undermining consensus, dehumanising groups, and downplaying the harms associated with tobacco use.

We have developed several resources that offer guidance on how to resist and hold the tobacco industry accountable, in line with the WHO's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.

This includes the Tobacco Resistance: Unmasking Tactics of Harm (TRUTH) postcard that offers 8 ways to resist the Tobacco Industry.

We have also made a chatterbox version.
